1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using MyHelpfulBuddy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of Service
MyHelpfulBuddy is a productivity and life organization application that provides features including but not limited to:
- Reminders and notifications
- Shopping lists and wishlists
- Task and calendar management
- Meal planning and budget tracking
- Notes, habit tracking, and Pomodoro timer
- Family sharing capabilities (Premium only)
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Premium Subscription
Premium features are available through a paid subscription. By purchasing a Premium subscription:
- Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds are subject to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription management settings
5. Family Sharing
Premium subscribers can share access with up to 5 family members. You agree that:
- You are responsible for all family members' use of the App
- Family members must comply with these Terms & Conditions
- You will not share access with unauthorized users
6. User Content
You retain all rights to the content you create in the App (reminders, notes, lists, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and sync your content across your devices
- Share your content with family members you authorize
- Back up your content for data protection purposes
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by MyHelpfulBuddy and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Error Tracking and Monitoring
To improve app performance and fix technical issues, we use error tracking services including LogRocket and Firebase. This includes:
- Automatic detection of app crashes and errors
- Performance monitoring and diagnostic information
- Session recordings when technical issues occur for debugging purposes
- Anonymous usage data to identify and prioritize improvements
Error tracking data is processed separately from your personal content and you can opt out of error tracking in the app settings.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Your data will never be lost (though we make reasonable efforts to prevent data loss)
- The App will meet your specific requirements
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
